The crazy things I read on the Internet ehn! Some women in the UK who want to copy Kim Kardashian‘s figure are trying a new procedure that sees them having the fat in their upper thighs and lower backs frozen to get the reality star’s ‘side bum’ profile.
The fat-freezing treatment which is called the Lipoglaze Butt Lift destroys fat cells on the upper thighs below the buttocks and at the base of the back to create a more prominent-looking bottom.
A clinic on Harley Street has launched the cosmetic procedure which consists of two separate 45-minute session that freeze fat cells. The first focuses on the top of the thighs under the buttocks and the second is aimed at the bottom of the back and the tops of the hips.
The combined effect is to contour the body to have a much more pronounced bottom with a ‘bumbum’ like the shape of Kim K’s figure. The LoveLite clinic launched the Lipoglaze Butt-Lift treatment, which costs from £800 to £1,600, after being bombarded with requests for the treatment just after Kim appeared naked on the cover of Paper magazine late last year.
LoveLite Clinical Director, Debra Robson talks about the procedure which freezes pockets of fat to minus 8 degree Celsius so cells are ‘killed’ and then disposed of by the liver. She said:
‘When we launched the treatment at the end of last year we were doing about ten treatments in a month at Harley Street, now we are doing nearly that amount every week.In quite a few cases women have brought in a photo of the Paper magazine cover and point at Kim Kardashian’s bottom and say they want to look like that.’
Heather Elrick-Tobin, 25, from west London (pictured above), had the treatment and saw her measurements go from 65cm on each upper thigh to 60cm on each thigh with a total fat loss of 10cm. While Kristi Arabskyj, 22 from Wakefield, Yorkshire, also invested in the fat freezing treatment which saw her waistline shrink 5cm from 89cm to 84cm.
Both ladies said that they are pleased with the results. However, critics say it isn’t an overall weight loss solution.
