Kidnapped Ondo regent rescued in Edo

The kidnapped Regent of Akungba Akoko in Ondo State,
Princess Oluwatoyin Omosowon, has been rescued by
security agents.
Omosowon was reportedly rescued on Tuesday by a
combined team of police and State Security Service.
The regent and three of her aides were, on June 2, 2015,
abducted by gunmen while on their way to attend an event
at the Federal University of Technology, Akure. Two of her
aides had regained their freedom, leaving the regent and
one other aide in the custody of the kidnappers.
Though the details of the event were still sketchy as of the
time of filing this report, a family source, Mr. Adesuyi
Clement, told our correspondent on the telephone that the
regent was rescued somewhere in Edo State by security
agents.
“I can confirm to you that she has been rescued
somewhere in Edo State by men of the State Security
Services and the Police. We are at the palace now waiting
for them,” he said.

Ali Baba: Comedy pioneer, veteran show host is 50..

Lay the carpet, let the drums roll and let the world quake as Nigeria’s comedy pioneer, foremost entertainer and leading show host, Ali Baba turns 50. Christened Atunyota Alleluya Akporobomerere shortly after he was born in Warri, Delta State, the man who has achieved widespread fame today as Ali Baba came forth as a baby on June 24, 1965 to the royal family of Agbarha Otor in what is today in Ughelli North Local Government Area. Born to a father who retired as a soldier as the first son after several girls, Ali Baba spent the first 8 years of his life in Warri before relocating to Lagos. He began his schooling at Ojo Primary School and later proceeded to Command Secondary School in Lagos. He had a stint at Ibru College in his home town of Agbarha-Otor, from where another incredibly talented Nigerian, Steve Onobrakpeya hailed, before going on to Bendel State University (now Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma where he studied Religious Studies & Philosophy. After bagging a degree from the Ekpoma-based ivory tower in 1990, Ali Baba relocated to Lagos once more, having discovered his comic talent in his 3rd year in university. Unknown to him, he would become the pathfinder of modern day comedy in the 90s along with his late friend, Mohammed Danjuma about whom he has not stopped talking years after the latter passed on. He began his professional career of anchoring corporate events, appearing on television shows with the likes of Patrick Doyle, Charly Boy and Danladi Bako while also making cameo appearances on radio shows with Bisi Olatilo, Sani Irabor and Mani Onumonmu among others. At the time, there was hardly any precedent to follow, not because others were not making people laugh but because the funny men – Patrick Doyle, John Chukwu, Bisi Olatilo, Femi Segun, Femi Jarret, Leo Onwudi, Smart Otemu, Tony St. Iyke and several others – were funny and popular but they were not into stand up comedy or what is now known as full time comedy. Through guts, sacrifice and creative dynamism, Ali Baba carved a niche for himself as a comedian for both corporate and non-corporate events. In less than 4 years, he had also become the preferred Master of Ceremony at major events. In 1993, he registered his company Alibaba Hicuppuray 3rd and from then on, his focus shifted to ensuring that the perception of comedians as ‘never- do wells’ changed. He wanted comedy to be seen as a worthy profession and a respected way of life. Today, Ali Baba has been a professional stand up comedian for the past 22 years and has in the last 13 years received several awards. He’s paved the way and mentored other top comedians like Julius Agwu, Gbenga Adeyinka, Basketmouth, I go die, AY and so many others who cannot stop talking about how he guided and led them to achieve greatness. Davido emerges Nigeria’s most talked about music star....

Photo: Instagram Since the beginning of the year 2015, there’s been no Nigerian pop star that has steadily been in the news as much as HKN boss, David Adedeji Adeleke popularly called Davido. Davido is clearly a hot topic for the Nigerian media, as news of him and about him would not just stop being in circulation. In this report, we run you through some of the major news highlights that’s got Davido trending across both the traditional and social media in recent weeks. Davido spent 3 very eventful weeks in Atlanta in the month of March. This was the month he recorded his duet with American rapper, Meek Mill and he was rumoured to have recorded another collabo with Drake. Not done, he partied with Puff daddy and Wale during the same period. It was in the month of March that he also publicly flaunted his love for 19 year-old Guinean beauty, Sira Kante to no end and we all thought Davido has finally found love but it all fizzled away the moment he returned to Nigeria. Woman called off her engagement to keep dating sugar daddies (PHOTOS)

I could not stop laughing when I read this news. so a 26 year old lady, Miss Munoz, of Los Angeles, California, has called off her engagementbecause she wants to keep living the sugar daddy life.

Apparently,  she fell into the sugar daddy lifestyle in 2010 when she was 21.

However, she hid her lifestyle after she met her 32-year-old Caesar Romero, via a dating website.

The couple were together for three years and got engaged but split up weeks ago because Miss Munoz missed her previous lifestyle.

“I’ve been dating sugar daddies for years and Caesar just couldn’t give me that lifestyle.
He was really nice and handsome but ultimately I value jewels over love. I was broke at the time and decided I had nothing to lose.I’d always liked older men. I got on well with them and was attracted to them. Soon I was regularly seeing a couple of different sugar daddies.”

Miss Munoz was able to buy her first house after receiving £13,000 from one of her sugar daddies to put down as a deposit. He then paid the remaining £117,000 on the house.Miss Munoz has sex with her main sugar daddy but said she was a companion to the other four.In 2012 she got together with Mr Romero – but did not give up her men.

“I loved Caesar, He owned his own construction company and could treat me well. But I was lying to him. I would spend time with my sugar daddies while I was with him.He didn’t understand how, as a nursing student, I could afford what I could.I bought a couple of pairs of Christian Louboutin’s because I couldn’t decide which color and I saw his face.So I started hiding my shopping bags because I couldn’t explain how I could afford designer clothes. WIZ KHALIFA GETS OFF EASY in Infamous Jail Selfie Case

The wiz Khalifa arrest that became more famous for what happened in jail -- rather than what landed him there -- is finally over ... and he only had to pay a small fine to make it go away for good. 

Wiz pled guilty in El Paso to misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and agreed to pay a $500 fine. The rapper was arrested in may 2014 for trying to get half a gram of weed past TSA officials.

Former Mistress Sandy Schultz Fears For Lamar Odom’s Life After Jamie’s Overdose Death

The world received the devastating news that Lamar Odom‘s best friend Jamie Sangouthai had died of an apparent heroine overdose , and now, Odom’s former mistress fears that Lamar could be next.

Odom’s former Flame Sandy Schultz told RadarOnline.com exclusively that Sangouthai’s death has caused Odom to shut out friends,

70 propietor asks 8 year old pupl to clean up his office, defiles her in the process

A 70-year-old school proprietor, Mr Isaac Iniasek, has been arrested by policemen attached to Igbogbo Police Division in Ikorodu area of Lagos State for allegedly defiling an eight-year-old pupil in his school. 
Telegraph Newspaper reports that after the school hour on that fateful day, Iniasek asked the girl (name withheld) to go into his office and tidy it up.

It was in the process of doing that the suspect pounced on the girl, tore her pants and defiled her.
The incident happened at number 31, Eturenren Street, on the premises of the Brighter Glory School.

The victim’s aunt, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said when the girl’s friend and her younger sister waited outside for a while, they went inside the proprietor’s office to check what was happening. According to her, they met Iniasek on top of the girl.

She said: “Immediately they entered the office, the proprietor ran out of his office, while the girl was bleeding profusely from her private part.

“They raised the alarm which attracted others. When we got to the school, the girl was still in a pool of blood. “We took her to a private hospital where it was confirmed that she was defiled. They showed us the Fluid which was brought out from her private part.”

A resident of the area, who also has a child in the school, claimed that was not the first time the proprietor had done that. She said: “A similar incident had happened in the school.

The owner of the school was said to have inserted his finger into the private part of some girls.” The woman urged the Lagos State Government to do background verification on schools before given them approval. The victim’s father described the proprietor as a disgrace.

He said: “The girl was supposed to be his granddaughter. It was after the incident that I got to know that my daughter was not the only girl that had been assaulted by the man. “I want the man prosecuted to serve as lesson to others who may want to take after him.”

Governor Ambode dissolves parastatals, sacks Fashola’s sister, others

 

Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode on Monday, June 15, 2015, dissolved all Boards of parastatals and agencies in the state and in effect sacked the sister of former Governor,Babatunde Fashola.

Ms Olayinka Fashola was the General Manager of the Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA) before her removal on Monday.

75 other heads of parastatals and agencies were relieved of their duties following the governor’s directive.

The dissolution was announced via a statement released by the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, Tunji Bello.

It however does not apply to the Civil Service Commission, Judicial Service Commission and the State Independent Electoral Commission.

Ambode took over from Fashola on Friday, May 29.

EFCC arraigns Internet fraudster for £54,324 romance fraud (photos)

 

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Monday June 15, 2015, arraigned Ebiechina Chikeluba ( aka Lisa T. Jackson) before Justice O. A Ipaye of the High Court of Lagos State, Ikeja on a 17-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence, personation, forgery and using false document.  

Chikeluba who met his victim on Facebook using the false identity of, Lisa T. Jackson, a United States citizen, has been making monetary demands of his victims, using varies guises.

In one such instance in March 2013, he obtained a total sum of £54,324.59 (Fifty Four Thousand, Three Hundred and Twenty Four Pounds, Fifty Nine Pence) from one K. Oaks through Western Union on the pretext that he was an American woman dealing in Gold in Nigeria and needed money to increase her capital.

The unsuspecting victim paid, having already agreed to marry the conman. When the charges were read to the defendant, he pleaded not guilty. In view of the plea of the accused, prosecution counsel, Andrew Akoja asked for a trial date and prayed the court to remand the defendant in prison custody. The defence counsel, Chijioke Agu informed the court that he has already filed an application for bail and asked to be allowed to move his application.

However, Justice Ipaye adjourned the matter to July 20, 2015 for hearing of bail application and ordered that the defendant be remanded in custody. Chikeluba, 21, a student of Federal Science and Technical College Yaba, Lagos was arrested by the operatives of the EFCC on February 24, 2015 for allegedly swindling Oake, a UK citizen, of the sum of £54,000 (equivalent of N20m).
