U.S. soldier found dead near base in South Korea

An American soldier has died during a navigation training exercise in South Korea, the U.S. military said Thursday.
Korean citizens found the body of Spc. Michael William Corey, an intelligence analyst, near the edge of Camp Jackson on Monday, U.S. Forces Korea said in a statement.
The cause of Corey's death during "land navigation training" is unknown and the incident is under investigation, the military said.
Originally from Oro Valley, Arizona, Corey was assigned to the 441st Military Intelligence Battalion in Camp Zama, outside Tokyo.
He was in South Korea to take part in a leadership course at the Non-Commissioned Officer Academy at Camp Jackson, a U.S. Army base north of Seoul, the South Korean capital.
