2face Idibia, Asa, Psquare and D'banj, have all been nominated in the 2015 MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA) "Evolution" category. they were nominated alongside Angola's Anselmo Ralph, South African duo of Black Coffee and HHP, Uganda's Chameleone, Democratic Republic of Congo's Fally Ipupa and Ghana's Samini.
The "MAMA Evolution" award, according to MTV Base Channel Director, Tim Horwood, "honours established artistes who have made an indelible mark on African and global music culture, taken African music to new territories around the world, pushed the boundaries of creativity, and shaped the soundscape of contemporary Africa".
