Our story:
We met through a mutual friend who gave him my BBM pin and said to him “you will thank me for this pin someday”. we got pinging back and forth for 3months (although he wanted to meet me by the 4th week) i refused to see him until after 3months. what made him different was his approach (old school approach lol). it wasn’t the usual overwhelming texting and calling (he started by texting every 2-3 days).
This approach was a bit confusing for me… One part of me was thinking “wow! He’s such a gentle man” the other part was thinking “this isn’t a usual approach, is he interested?” i wasn’t bothered cos i didn’t care so much for relationships at that time. we chatted for hours especially around mid-night cos i was preparing for my residency exams and he was preparing for some professionals exams as well.
We would just talk generally about life and fun stuff nothing “relationship involved”. i was certain he was interested when i lost my phone and he couldn’t ping me… In less than 36hours he found my number and called me.. After several phone calls and texts we finally met. He then expressed his interest in getting into a relationship.
My first response was “no” but then i decided to pray and fast about it, i also advised him to do the same. Ever since then it’s been an amazing journey and i couldn’t be more grateful to God for guiding me to the right path on this journey.
